Hi guys I got a bit of a head scratcher, At the beginning of the season, I got my boat serviced at an autherized dealership. I have just started to use my boat now since work has kept me from play. I have notied a great increase of exhaust noise comming from the transom in or out of the water. It has definately changed after my service. I put it up on my trailer and my bellows looks fine but all of the exhaust and water is comming from the trasom mounting plate area prior to entering my hose. In water I get alot of exhaust bubbles at the transom as well instead of exhausting through the prop. like I said the bellows are in tact. Any ideads guys?

Hi Gonzo, Mine is a 2000, i think Volvo discontinued the flaps in 1999 see service bulletin ..... http://www.marinepartsexpress.com/jpg/Flapper Parts Bull.jpg

I do have exelent exhaust flow but all of it is coming out of the low speed relief by the transom plate anode. In or out of the water the exhaust isnt traveling further into the leg and through the prop at any rpm in or out of the water. I pull my boat every year and winter it in my yard. I wonder if the leg or prop is plugged? I do a raw water flood with RV antifreese to protect the raw water side from freezing every winter. I wonder if this is breaking down and leaving a gummy deposit over the years.? I will phone the dealer today and see what they might of done durring thier service that might of changed things. I will pass on anything I might discover for the next guy.
