I have a used 26 feet fishboat and I want to buy a fish finder. Lowrance HDS-7 Gen2 Fishfinder and Garmin echo 550c Fishfinder which one is better? I am a new boater.

A 26 foot boat is not too small for a 7 inch fish finder. I wouldn't buy one less than 10 inches now. Bigger screen is better. Get a combination fishfinder and chart plotter where you can choose to split screen or full screen for what you are doing.

If u have a good budget, you can pick the Lowrance HDS Gen3 Series with big screen. There 3 size of screen 7inch, 9inch and 12inch. All model are with Insight mapping.
Hope it will helpful for you.
