Does someone knows where to find Bio_Design, from Dumchikov?
The geocities site is gone long time ago, and I can't find any useful info in google or yahoo.

Biodesign's Displacement Calculator is a powerful tool...

Well, I sent an email to Yuri, unfortunately he answered that Biodesign and his fantastic Displacement hydrostatics module are no longer available. :(

I hope someone take Yuri's ideas and develop something similar.
Traditional metod of Trim calculation, using After and Front perpendiculars, is not a real aproach to the problem, as I see it. And it is always separate from transversal heeling as if they were diferent problems, when actually they are the same thing. Yuri's metod, taking just Buoyancy centroide and CG, and making them fit on the same vertical line while keeping submerged volume at constant value, is the best way to simulate what buoyancy really is. Forget Transversal KM and Longitudinal KM!
    What do you think?

tried biodesign way back when and thought it was a great program
remember Yuri had some nice yachts build with it, was into air bubbles and went to the states
was sort of affraid you might get a reaction like that, he went pro i understood earlyer
pitty biodesign stopped, its a good program with tuts and had an attractive buoyancy module
havent used it for a while and would have to go compare other programs to see
as i never looked into its buoyancy programming but think your rite
