tunnel hull project w/pics

    i have a 13ft 6" 1972 king craft skiff 56" wide the sides are 16" and i have cut it right down the middle and added ribs 3 ribs and replacing the transon/ wht i am wondering is i am widening it by 15 inches in the middle making the total width 8ft and the tunnel is 15 and with it sitting on the ground the front tunnel opening is 8" and tapering down to 4" at rear staying 15" wide the whole way/any input on this would be helpful just wondering with a 40hp if this will actually lift the boat enough to make a difference. i will hav pics avail soon as i build it
