Superyacht/catamaran "Hemisphere"

I notice that multihull world have put up an article from a recent edition on "Hemisphere" the new super catamaran.

I wonder how they haul it out of the water for service , Drydock ?

In Palma de Mallorca there was a huge cat, new, that was seriuosly damaged when it slid off a marine railway. The boat was very hevily damaged and had an enormous tent built around it for repairs. I seem to recognize the carbon mast and fabric rigging. ... Is this the same boat ?

 

Could be drydock, Syncrolift is more common in commercial yards

Sure...I grew up in Annapolis. I remember when the big sailing yacht broke thru the deck of the Trumpy Syncrolift.

More often when cruising around the world I see small dry docks.

Possible that a pair of cranes could lift a big cat...would need a sophisticated shipyard.

The 30m Cat in Mallorca , that was damaged, is called Orion I believe. Somekinda railway accident.

 

All I can say after the first glance is - impressive!

Will take a better look at that article later.

 

I wonder if it can turn around in St Tropez harbour. Can it even enter Porto Cervo . Bonifacio ?

To me this is so ridiculously large and exaggerated that it might as well be from a Disney or Spielberg movie.

I cannot actually consider it real, in any practical sense.

I don't have enough friends and relatives to have a good party on the boat.
