    Hello Everyone,

I am doing a analytical / simple numerical approach for the structural components in the marine Stern roller. Now, I am looking for the some references or methodology for getting the optimum dimensions (Thickness) of Ring frames and Disc component. So, it would be very grateful if someone suggest some idea or share references if you have done calculations for similar kind of structures.

    Kindly, find below picture description.

    Thank you

Are you running cable or chain over it?

I'm just curious, but don't you have to give some dimension numbers to get an answer, like length and diameter...?

The diameter and type of rope is also necessary to calculate the contact area.
