That hull looks to me like the standard 26 foot motor life boat that all the older coast Guard cutters carried. If you google uscg 26 foot motor surf boat you'll see lots of them that have been converted to recreational use.

20200612_183115.jpg Mine is quite different than a motor surf boat, the surf boat is more of a semi-displacement hull as evidenced by the larger horsepower engines used in them and the higher speeds they're capable of. They do share some similarities appearance wise but ultimately different animals. This is what I ended up with after the expediency of finding a cheap aluminum pilothouse.

Got any more pics of your conversion you could share, say before/during/after and inside/outside?

Fish, I am reminded of the Fisher Potter 25 which was built in England in the 70's / 80's - here are a few photos of her.

She is based on the Fisher 25, which has the same hull and sailing rig, but more accommodation.

Fish, she does look very fine - and you are already halfway there towards having your own Potter!
What is your draft at the painted waterline - I am guessing around 2'?
The Fisher's draft is 3'9" - that extra 20" will make a big difference re her ability to stand up to her sail area.
Your boat would look very cool with a sailing rig, but it would probably cost a lot to retrofit while making sure that she has reasonable stability.

Thank you, she draws a bit more than two and a half feet. My intention wasn't to turn it into a sailboat but to have more of a "get home" sail ability as well as a steadying sail. I'm currently putting together a riding sail, she wants to lay side to which while uncomfortable it also makes handling the fishing gear problematic. I've been using a drogue to hold her head up but it's not very convenient.
