If you can not lower the engine, than ballast placed as low as possible will make a difference. Below the floor, next to the keel, the more the better. Make sure it is secured in place, you do not want it shifting around in rough conditions.

Of course, the more ballast you install, the less carrying capacity you will have.

What was the previous engine drive arrangement? What is the current engine drive arrangement? How much difference in height do you think the drive assembly's CG might be over the former setup?

Without a drawing of the boat ( I couldn't find a 'Fast Worker 19') you learned gentlemen are a bit handicapped in reaching a conclusion.

My previous drive was the same engine only 6" lower onto a jet drive.

    PHILSWEET.
Yes the engine was slid back about 24 inches, and raised about 6" plus i had to a compleatly rebuild the stern as it was water logged I over did this and made the stern 3 inches thick to take the stern gear.

The boat sit on the water, All along its previos water line no problem becouse the stern was built stronger I have fitted smart tabs to help with the plane.
The boat is a FAST FISHER 19 built in cornwall uk '
