I really like those designs. I would have a couple of questions for the designer, but they are really neat. The folding hulls are a great feature. I wonder if the hull would float well, say at dock, with the hulls folded up. I am worried about slip width obviously.

Also, you have to wonder how well the geometry of the outboard floats lends itself to rowing. I am sure oar length is going to be very critical and maybe shorter than optimum.

All in all, I am very glad you pointed them out.

Richard Woods is very helpful via e-mail and via phone. Also, you can make a boat yourself with his and your suggestions. His boats are unsinkable (wooden), light, fast, very stable and cheap to make.
