I'm doing a thesis report on Catamaran hulls. Can anyone recommend reference books on this topic, please?

The design process is the same for all types of vessels. There is no specific procedure for catamarans. Now, each ship type has specific problems to solve, defined by the number of hulls, the type of pay-load carried, the navigation area, type of propulsion, etc. So, if you specify a little more what you're looking for, maybe someone could help you.

You'll need to define more precisely what you are seeking.

Sail...or power...structural or hydrodynamic etc etc.

I'm sorry I have replied this late. Well, I'm now about to choose basic dimensions of this cat; length, breadth, draft, and so on. I've determined to use the length 20m, according to the restrictions of navigable area and the purpose it's going to be used, etc. Next, I have to pick up breadth, draft and other dimensions. For monohulls, there are some predefined ratios that we can refer to, as we produce the hull form. for example, L/B, B/D ratios suitable for different hulls and different uses... So, do you have any idea, of books or references about these ratios I could use?

Did you have a look at this: http://www.multihull.de/technik/catdimension.pdf ?
Please google "How to dimension a ...." or "Terho Halme". There is a lot of good useful stuff here.

If you like it scientific: Fabio Fossati: AERO-HYDRODYNAMICS and the performance of Sailing Yachts,
The Science behind Sailing Yachts and their Design. International Marine/ McGraw-Hill. First Ed. 2009.
Great book with fundamentals and new developments.

@Manfred, thank you for your very helpful reply. But, the design I'm working on is intended for commercial passenger ferry propelled by water jet. I'm sad, despite that I find your links very useful; it'll not be a sailing catamaran. Any more suggestion, please?
