restoring a boat floor

    We just got are frist boat its a 1986 4 winns 18 and a 1/2 foot cubby
    It need a new floor ather than that the boat is sound and just need's a little TLC . What is the best way to replace the floor ...
    most of the wood is bad and there styafoam under the wood and some of it is formed in to the boat . what is the best way to replace the floor any help will be great we don't know much about restoring big boats . If you can please help Thank you

    Search this forum and the boatbuilding subforums and you'll find a number of existing threads on replacing the cockpit sole.

    Have you started removing the rotten wood yet? Sometimes you'll find the damage is more extensive than you thought (bulkheads, stringers, gas tank corrosion from moist foam touching it, etc.), so look carefully while you are surveying for damage.
