Rendering Software for Rhino3d

Does anyone have an opinion on rendering software? I am currently using Rhino3d V6.

 

What is wrong with Rhino's rendererrrrr? Usually a modeling program works best with its own native rendering tool because its tuned for it and they've knocked most of the bugs out of it.

 

I have used Rhino since McNeel was developing it in the '90's and would send out beta versions. McNeel had Accurender and then Flamingo for rendering. I have been away from Rhino for awhile and am back using it. V6 looks to be a huge improvement with their own internal renderer but I believe people still use programs like Brazil, Maxwell, VRay among others, commonly. I am looking for input.

 

I suppose its what you like, are used to, and have sunk your learning curve into. When I use Rhino I usually just used its built in renderer 'cause... I'm lazy like that and it produces good enough results. But I have had to import models into Blender to incorporate them into animations etc. That is not nearly as much fun.

 

I guess that is what I am asking. What do people like and why? My understanding is programs like I mentioned still offer better image quality and some seem to be more favored by an industry than another. Thanks for your input.
