Just purchased a 26 feet pontoon . The plan is to use a sea doo 155hp or 215hp to push the pontoon . Half of the sea doo will be under the sun deck , regular control steering and throttle of the pontoon will be adapted . The idea is not having to drag the sea doo and im not planning on going 50mph . When in the middle of the lake we could disconnect the sea doo . The sea doo will be floating on his own , we tested a bit with a 650cc 2 stroke it seamed to work well

Why not? Some outfit was selling boat hulls designed to be powered by a "plug-in" PWC.

I was just thinking same thing last night. Might not be must fuel efficient since jet drive design for certain speed/weight combination. Keep it light. Jet drives on Seadoo's wont have same push power as the Hp might indicate compared to propped engine. You could even setup some kind of remote steering and throttle.

i will be using the steering system that's on the pontoon , the seadoo will be hidden under the sun deck . The sun deck will open for parking . Some people told me the turbine will miss water , the turbine will spin and just make bubbles ......... i have towed a very fat pontoon with a 650 2 stroke seemed to work just fine

I go up the coast to way off places and have a 215 Hp 3 pass. Bombardier on deck.

I've towed a 48' sailboat and barely knew it was there, also towed an old 50' fishing boat trawler 3 miles into a cove without much drama...luckily the usual 5 knot tides were slack.

Maybe just tow the pontoon around instead??

I'm using uhmw ''white'' for the 12x8 hard top and side (railing ) 1/8 . The table will convert into a big bed also made with uhmw 1/2 . The canvas will roll up on to the hard top , the cost is cheaper and no view obstruction. The front sun deck ,mattress are split in half so they can be remove for the dancers

We named it Da Boob Cruise

I'm a big fan of the detachable jetski concept.

I'd like a jetski docking station on a sailing yacht(mono or multi hull).

It could be both highspeed tender and aux/backup or primary power.

I would be lot easier to swap out for a new one than a built in inboard motor.

But I haven't seen or figured out a nice way to include this into the stern of a mono without major inpact on the rest of the boat.
