    Pole Platform

Maybe this might help you...............I bought a old 18' HOBIECAT and lashed a NEW HAVEN LIGHT DORY inside
    I CAN STAND UP
WALK AROUND EVEN OUT ON THE FLOATS
    INSTALL MOTOR
    ETC..................ETC..........
Paid $200 for HOBIE with trailer...........CAN IN 'T BEAT THAT FOR STABILITY

I think I could install a polling platform as you describe on this CAT easily onto alum beams or floats.
    Have pic's if of interest

Yeah..I like that...now you can go camping in style!..I absolutely envy that lateen rig and sail ...I think that is a great rig for a small boat...everyone is so in love with their "masts"...but a giant compass-shaped mast is the mark of precision...or at least it is practical and I am looking into it for one of my boats..hell..maybe even for my Hunter 20!Thanks again for posting pics...Morgan in sarasota

Hey thanks.................Don't understans your comment (compass) what does that mean ?

I am pleased with the simple rigging. I made the 24' spar from a cedar tree on my property, and the saul was a painting trap from LOWES.

Am about to put on a brailing line for reeffing, and just dumping the wind at dockside.

If I can be of assistance pl's e-mail me
