Does anyone know how I can obtain the DLA/SFA software? I can't get it directly from ABS because I am not involved in any ABS-related projects.

    Thanks.

I really don't think you can obtain that particular software package other than going through ABS, but there's other ways to accomplish DLA and SFA, using different software, and the guidelines published by ABS.

What type of project are you working on? I'm involved in the early stages of an SFA project and might be able to offer you some guidance.

Regardless, good luck. If you find any new information please let me know.

I don't think there's really any free/low cost DLA/SFA software available, at least not in an easy to use complete package. For the structural part, you can investigate the open source software tool CalculiX. I have some experience with it, it's a good set of solvers but not the easiest to use. As for the vessel dynamics, I'm really not sure there's a good open source seakeeping program, I've heard of a MatLab code called MORA. For professional work, the company I work for uses AQWA + ANSYS Mechanical, but these are, to be blunt, very expensive unless you've got a student license.

Sorry that's probably not the feedback you wanted.

As far as iknow, they don't sell the DLA/SFA, they will give you license unless you have a ship or offshore structure classfied by them or project cooperations.
