    I was lucky enough to see his first UK appearance, supporting Martin Taylor at Windsor Arts Centre around 98/99. Seen him quite a few times since, he did close the Sydney 2000 Olympics - not bad for an 'Acoustic Country Guitarist'..;)

    You might like these guys SamSam ...unfortunately both late. I saw Eric Roche quite a few times and he played 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' at the Kirkmichael International Guitar Festival in tribute to the late Isaac. 3 pm on the Saturday afternoon - stand out performance of the entire weekend. More emotion and dynamic range than on record by far.

    The first KIGF ('99)saw Isaac preceed Tommy and they had never met. it was interesting to see them, Tommy knew Isaac was also a master of the instrument when he saw/heard him....

    Better sound but nowher near as good as in Scotland , you had to be there....

    he is a legend in autralia. tommy emanuel on guitar and james morrison on trumpet are probably the most famous artists to come from oz.
