    Pietr...friendly advice...

tell people what you want; along with don't want; otherwise you come off as just negative

    do you want foam sandwich?

    moulded?

    wood plank on frame?

that Drake is a moulded boat; not practical for one off

Sorry, i'm new to this forum... I want a flats boat style 15-19 feet long. Beam around 5'. It as to be stable because i only fly fish. I don't need a big motor. I want to do a sandwich core. I haven't decided yet if the core should be Strip planking or PVC foam. I am looking around the internet, but i can't find what i'm really looking for. The Swift guide from Cerny looks pretty good. The Smiths marine looks also good. Bassically, i don't understand why i can't find a boat plan for a boat similar to the Drake Boatworks.
    Thank you for your time!

I saw a few posts about skiffs on reddit. No clue about plans :)

Ok, so the Cerny Swift Guide 'looks pretty good' -

But what do you not like about her?
The cost of the plans are $150, which seems to be very reasonable.

Re the boats from Smith Marine, I guess you are interested in their Osprey 18 Flats Skiff?

But yet she is also not what you are looking for - what would you like to change on her?

Jacques Mertens is redrawing all his boats in foam.

I suggest you check out his flats boats and post on bateau.com to see how soon any boat you may like might be available in foam plan.

The one issue is even foam boats won't likely get too complex in shapes as even they become harder to build. Boston Whaler, for example, is a rather complex hull design for one off construction.

Thanks for the reply. The Cerny boat design is very nice and beautiful but i would prefer a different design for the front of the hull. It is my fall back option if i don't find anything else. The laminathing schedule and the service by the designer is excellent. But since building a boat takes a long time (2 years a minimum for a part time builder like me) and is a big investment, i would rather build something that i find really exciting. When i see something like the Outlaw from Drake Boathworks, i get that feeling! I hope you understand.

If it doesn't, and OP likes, does it matter?
Rob will alter the design as needed, so I thought it worth recommending.

To paraphase SUPA HOT FIRE, I am not a sailor, but a flats skiff is, I think, a shallow water powered boat. So it seems to fit.

I actually thought of the T60 too! I'm just curious because I have no clue :)

I guess depends what OP wants to use it for?

What would one cost second hand ? That is a rather unusual looking thing, and you won't find a very close match, in boat plans, I wouldn't think, and it does seem that the look of it has you entranced. Looks like a bit of a sheep of hit to me, (haha) but everyone's eye is different.

Thanks for the info everyone. I can't beleive how fast people respond. I do appreciate the help. Unfortunatly the T60 design is more of a Jon boat than a Flats boat. I was also considering the Envi 17' Flats Redfish boat. But it doesn't use sandwich core and seem complicated to build. I May as well build a mold... I'll keep looking. Thanks again for the input.
