The proceedure in the document Tim provided the link works well to provide a "fair" hull shape. But it may not necessarially exactly match a set of lines with more curves than used to develop the shape.

One proceedure which should match closely a set of lines for a simple hull shape is to use the sheer, center profile/buttock, the transom outline, and the sections from the lines. Then use the "sweep2" command with the sheer and center profile/buttock as the rails. Alternately the "networksrf" command can be used but the shape will probably be slightly different. Try both. Also with "networksrf" may be possible to add some waterlines to the curve network. Experiment.
