Carene will do all the design I need for stitch and glue but the print out is too small..I sent it to delftship which is good but the print/send to plotter icon is grey and inoperative ...any ideas where this old fart is going wrong ??? Nothing in the documentation about printing ....???

    Using the demo version perhaps?
    Can you perform calculations?
If not, you'll need to set the main dimensions first.

well it is the free version but it says fully functioning ...???

I can zoom in and take the laptop to the workshop and draw out the ply panels but it would be easier to have it on A3 paper .........

Free version is fully functional and should print normally.
What is it exactly what you're trying to print? I know that version 3.2 for example will not print a shaded view, only wireframe. You can however save your shaded view as an image and print that. printing a linesplan shouldn't be a problem at all.
So, it depends on what you're trying to send to the printer.

Thee free version of DELFTship does indeed not print plate developments.
