    dear All,

    I'm trying to draw plans of a simple V hull skiff, like the one in the pic but I'm not sure that the results are acceptable.
    Could some expert generate a simple sketch (with Delftship would be great)? I will complete it later by myself.

    thanks a lot.

    What will the "sketch" be used for? How accurate does it need to be? Are there any requirements such as length, beam, depth, deadrise angle, etc?

    Ouch, you are right:
    my intention is to build a stitch & glue boat, around 18 ft;
    the proportions are like the attached file, but I do not need any internal stucture (this I'll draw by myself, starting from a basic file.
    thanks a lot,
    regards.

    With the information that you have shown us you could get a 3D model of the boat, or one that looks very similar. But I think you really need the bottom and side panels, developed, and transom, to be able to cut them by numerical control or by any other method. That information, with Delftship, I'm not sure it can be created.

    The aluminium requires too many tools that I don't have, so plywood would be the best.
    @DCockey : thanks a lot for the sites but I do not like the shape of that realization (the gunwhale sould be straigt.
    I draw something in DelftShip, the file attached; please let me know the errors I did.
    Thanks a lot,

    ciao.

    Developable surfaces are needed to plank with large sheets of plywood. Surfaces which have straight sections and varying deadrise and flare are not developable.

    @ifix, nothing to object to your design. If anything, comment that the length/breadth ratio seems very high.
