MARIN is marketing a book and software based on tests of a systematic series of fast displacement hulls with a maximum Froude number of 1.14. http://sites.fastspring.com/marin/product/fds The August 2014 issue of report published by MARIN provides a very brief background: There was great interest in Fast Displacement vessels in the seventies and eighties and during this time the US, Australian an Netherlands Navies carried out a 10-year research project together with MARIN and TU Delft to investigate their hydrodynamic properties.

Does anyone know of any other information about this series and the results such as reports, technical papers, etc? I looked through Blount's recent book and did not find any references to it.

Update: I found a 2012 HISWA Symposium paper by Geert Kapsenberg which is available at: http://www.marin.nl/web/News/News-items/The-MARIN-systematic-series-fast-displacement-hulls.htm

One of this lot of hulls was the AMECRC series developed by the
Australian Maritime College. The AMECRC parent hull is identical
    to the MARIN series parent.

Most were tested in the towing tank at the Launceston campus, but
several were also tested in the MARIN tank and elsewhere.

    See:
"Predictions of the Resistance and Squat of 14 AMECRC Series Model Hulls"
    http://www.cyberiad.net/flotilla/amecrc_27feb14.pdf

All principal parameters are summarised in that report which also
contains experimental results. Some experiments shown in the report
    are repeats from different tanks.

Examples (with offsets) are bundled with Flotilla version 6.2.

Look in the mono/ex_amecrc subdirectory after you unzip the download file.
