Hi, I'm currently trying to make a Geodesic Hemisphere in Rhino 4 :s which is proving quite difficult, i'm thinking it should be possible to somehow project the triangular faces onto a sphere but am not having much success at the moment!

Does anyone have any ideas how to do it or tips?

    This kind of thing:

    Thanks in advance :)

Benwhite89 the way I have done it is to make the first segments then use them to build the dome in 3d. Once you have made the necessary parts I copy, move, rotate them into position then use array to sweep them around the model.

Thanks bhnautica but how do you know the angles that each segment should be positioned at? Presumably you need to use formulae to calculate them?

Benwhite89 it not so much angles but lengths. Check out this site http://desertdomes.com/index.html it has a calculator for different size domes. There are some angles in the "conduit dome tips"
