"No one has been able to catch and handle the giant great white shark - mature specimens - and release them alive. No one has ever been able to do this with any sort of repetitiveness or the safety and care needed to make sure the sharks make it," says Fischer, the former host of ESPN's "Offshore Adventures."

This June the National Geographic Channel will begin airing "Expedition Great White," a television series produced by Fischer. In 2007, at the request of Dr. Michael Domeier, one of the world's foremost great white experts, Fischer led a team of scientists and anglers on six expeditions off California that were filmed and produced for the National Geographic Channel. At least seven of the white sharks landed on this trip are the largest fish ever caught and released - the biggest measuring more than 17 feet and weighing more than 4,500 pounds, according to Fischer.

Never, ever, try to catch a fish that weighs more than your truck.

It is also homeothermic, so cold water doesn't slow it down like other fish.

Basically an orca and calf are cavorting for a whale watching boat: a large great white wanders by,and the orca goes and kills it. Then she brings it back to the boat to show off.

I've been ocean kayaking with them many times, once a pod was beating a seal up and in the midst of this cruised by to check us out....3 feet from eye to eye.

Orcas are basically very large dolphins.

    Not me,but like this:
