Below the late Meade Gougeon in his boat Elderly Care in the EC '17, where he won the single male sailing canoe class again.

Meade passed away a few months later at 78 y/o, saw the same boat from 2:11 to 2:28 in the above EC '19 vid before start, renamed Voyageur there.

The second below vid shows Meade in his boat Voyager in the EC '14, where he also won his class.

P.S. - WaterTribe Event Rosters set for 'Everglades Challenge 2017'

‘‘ Sawhorse (aka Meade Gougeon) — EC2017, Class 3, Single Male — 15 ft decked sailing canoe ’’

Event Rosters set for 'Everglades Challenge 2019', same boat I think, when looking at the post #4 video, from 2:11 to 2:28.

‘‘ Gamera (aka Matt Scharl) — EC2019, Class 3, Single Male — Gougeon Canoe ’’

Interesting in the above EC 2017 video about Meade Gougeon's outrigger canoe Elderly Care I think is that the amas pivot around the single aka, so the lee ama follows the surface of the waves independently from the vaka, so the lee ama isn't piercing into the from the lee side forward incoming chop, which piercing would cause much more resistance I think.
