This special project needs a new home. 60 ft (64ft with bowsprit), 55’-3” DWL, 57,000lbs displacement, cutter rig.

Originally custom design #212 by Robert Perry. Hull and sail plan has remained the original design. Deck plan and interior changed to a mid-cockpit pilothouse. A full 3d CAD model of the interior design (Solidworks) was created during this design change. Designed as an all latitude cruiser and live aboard. Heavy scantlings all around. Forward chain locker and water tight bulkhead to survive forward damage. Engine room can also flood and remain afloat via engine room bulkhead and watertight doors. Layed out for single handing and minimum crew. Forward queen birth. Port side double birth. Starboard side twin single bunks. Large refrigerator. Large walk through galley on starboard. Spacious Pilothouse with large settees/births. Engine room sized for workspace and storage.

The hull was built in Norfolk, Va by Howdy Bailey of Global Yachts. This was one of the last hulls he produced before retiring. Round bilge, welded 5000 series aluminum. 17,000lbs of lead cast inside the sealed keel. The craftsmanship used to roll and fabricate this hull is unparalleled.
Pilot house remains un-welded to deck to facilitate moving (remains below interstate maximum height limit). All rigging for lifting and moving will be included (spreader bars and lifting straps). Current shipping weight is approximately 27,000lbs.

Interior spray foamed above water line. Marine ply subflooring in place. Keel tankage in place(multiple tanks for diesel and water). Interior work started in maple. Tongue and groove walls (sealing). Primary forward head lined in aluminum sheet. Exterior in maple. Forward queen birth and battery tray started.

New Yanmar 4LH-HTE 130hp 3 cylinder turbo diesel installed. Spade rudder hung. Comes with new Hynautic MS-1150/1175 hydraulic steering head, rudder ram, and fittings. Railings, stanchions, and lifelines in place. 75lb CQR anchor. A heavy steel rolling cradle available if wanted.

Thousands of hours have been spent planning and working on this design and build. Obviously, too much information to pass on in an advertisement. Inquires encouraged. Many additional pictures available. Welding and woodworking tools also available. Help and support with moving and design details available.

Unfortunately, our life direction has changed and we are not able to complete this beautiful vessel. Hoping to find a new home to complete the dream.
    $150,000 (obo!)
    must sell.

    Perry 60'

    Hello,

I'm looking to see if you are still trying to find a home for that beautiful aluminum hull you own. I found it for sale yesterday randomly through craigslist and today I stumbled onto it here at Boat Design. I was looking you up on craigslist again today to make contact with you and noticed it was not available. So I am giving it a lost shot here to find out if I'm too late...

So, is it still for sale?
    Noah
