CE or EU Certification for boats?

Thanks for trying to clarify things. I guess what Gonzo means could be explained by him better than by anyone.
When I read what S Hondros wrote: " I have been told to sell boats in the us to european countries specifically turkey we need a CE or EU certification.", the only thing I can think of is that he wants to know how get CE mark for their boats and nothing else (not something “like”), in order to sell them in Turkey.
I hope the writings of my previous posts, will serve the OP to get an idea of what they need, which is not a sinple form, to obtain the CE marking.
Just pretend to help the OP. Do not think, wrongly advised, that the CE mark is easy to obtain.

 

OP posted 2 years before the financial crisis so we can safely assume he doesn't need this info anymore. Either he figured it out long ago or his need for it went away.

Probably you are right, Jeremy. It comforts me to think that, at least in my country, is not easy to be accepted by the Administration as concerted entity to carry out relevant inspections and certifications. Thus, for a lot of publicity that this man make of his company, they probably do not have authorization to certify anything in any country. Furthermore, the necessary technical studies can be performed by any naval architect, ie, a company like this gentleman is not necessary.
