Hi guys, I'm design a fishing vessel (23m) and I would like to perform some optimization on its bolbous bow.
Currently I'm using Rhino to model it, but I found it hard to do some variations on bulb dimension. So, I would like to ask you guys if you have some advice on it, like some plug-in for rhino that would help or even use another sofware. I heard that Catia has parametric tool, not sure about that.

    Thank you guys.

Parametric transformation of the bulb is pretty tricky (particularly if it is faired into the hull which presumably is the case) Maxsurf has parametric transformation but that is for the overall hull, not for the bulb only. The only system that I know of that might do a good job of that is the FriendShip system (now called Caeses I think) from Germany. Its very powerful but not for the faint-hearted.

In terms of just the shape..or in terms of resistance?

If resistance, then you do not need to model it. Experimental data shall show you the way in terms of its length size and relation to your hull length and displacement with the target speed. It is narrow!

If purely for shapes/developments, see reply above :)
