If you are referring to the 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch stainless hose adaptor towards the rear of the pump, this is the pressurized hose barb that provides water with pressure to the engine or intercooler for cooling. A picture would help
If water is shooting out of this barb, it might mean that there is no water going into the intercooler/engine which means that there is no water going out the exhaust risers which means that if you run it like that the 4 inch rubber exhaust hose
will most likely start to burn without this cooling water. Of course the engine will not like it either
    mmm??

I'm sorry. I'm not really sure what I'm talking about!
I think its a freeze plug on back of motor,no water should get past u joint on drive, its sealed?
Any help would be appreciated. I'll try to take a picture next time I'm out there.

The u joint slips onto the male splined shaft. The slip yoke is not sealed at its outside diameter as this shaft has a bearing and seal to keep the water in the pump and depending on the model, assuming a 12 series a set of packings as well

Looks like it's coming from bell housing at back of motor.
    Thanks.
