    thudpucker,

I figured that I would be spending ~ $300 - $400, (but I was planning on that being in the REALLY high side). I found some for $60 a sheet (somewhere) but that was before tax and shipping. But I agree with you, I plan on mine lasting me a LONG time so when I look at it as an investment like that, it makes the cost ALOT more tollerable. (I already have a trolling motor, my g/f's dad found his old one that he thought he sold in his attic and he's giving to me, so that will shave the cost down a bit)
It may be more economical for me to drive out to the Boston area to pick some up...hell, maybe I'll get lucky and be able catch a sox game and see my buddy in Salem when I'm out there (it would be a good excuse).

Go for the patent....maybe you'll get lucky and someone will buy out the idea. That'll pay for the jon boat + some! And if you wanna kick a few bucks my way for 'finantial advice' thats fine with me. lol

    Good luck with your build!

    lewisboats,

Thanks for the plywood dealers. I'll have to check with them to see what I can get my hands on. And thanks for the suggestions for flotation!

    Jeep,

There is a plywood distributor in Springfield, MA. Last time I bought there they were called Saxonville (may have changed since). They are located just off Roosevelt Avenue (just south of Smith & Wesson) next to BayState Gas. They carry or can get just about any type of sheet goods or laminate available; worth looking into. Also check Wooden Boat Magazine I think there are some distributors in Eastern New York state that should be close to you. Good Luck and let us know how you make out!

    Thanks Lt.
That would make things a bit easier if I can find them.

    Atta boy!
    Congratulations on the Graduations!
Boot em' out and bust the plate!

Ho ho ho, you can forget the first of June. Summer finally broke and you'll be too busy to turn around soon.
We are working on the Garden right now. Spring is springing up all over the place.

I sure hope they all wind up in Higher Education.
Thanks for the Email. I havent seen it yet, but I got a new download from one of the PDF program writers. If I dont have enough, I'll go to the Public Library or a Draftsman and have him lay it out in lofting size.
