RNLI Shannon class, 1st production boat delivered 2014, waterline 11.6m, displacement 18 tonnes (maximum) http://rnli.org/aboutus/lifeboatsandstations/lifeboats/Pages/shannon.aspx
The hull is a foam sandwich construction comprising typically four outer and one inner 1,200g/m2 quadriaxial glass skins separated by a 70mm thick Coracell P grade foam core. Variations and additional reinforcements are included locally where required. http://www.maritimejournal.com/news...aunch/rnlis-latest-lifeboat-ready-for-service

The RNLI has been using foam cores in the hulls since the Trent class in the 90's, but I notice on their web site tech specs (David's link above) for the Shannon, Tamar, and Severn they are using single skin below the chine, which I wasn't aware of.

We built the Severn Class at my previous yard...hence my comment.
