Abandoned Cross 38 restoration project in the Netherlands - for sale - or to give away ?

( This thread is a split off of the thread; 45 ft part built tri on craigslist Mass, as the post was distracting from the original topic there. )

A bit of the same story in the Netherlands, someone started the restoration of a Cross 38, and she's now for sale, as a give away I think, as it says she must go for any offer, the masts were stolen in the meantime...

The mind boggles at the resoursfulness of thieves ! How does one steal a mast !

 

Maybe in broad daylight, while no one was there, break a door open, drive a truck into the shed, and take whatever is liftable . .

BTW, this one is also not at a bad place to live till the restoration is finished, and then sail her to anywhere in the world.

 

It also could be the stolen masts were cut up on the spot to be sold as scrap metal, after all they were in a workshop with the tools at hand I think . .
