    Dear All,

I am in my final year of a program leading to an occupation as a wooden boat builder. As my final demonstration of skill, I have been given the opportunity to build a boat of my own. The only restriction is that it be limited to 5m LOA.

After close to a hundred hours searching the internet I have failed to find any plans yet. As most of them are aimed at amateur builders.

My ideal boat will be built using mahogany, cedar, and birch plywood using epoxy molding. Power is to be provided by an inboard (stern drive or propshaft).
I like the look of classic runabouts and gentlemans racer (a sensible layout with minimal wasted space is welcome), however a modern v hull is a requirement.

I dont need any complicated plans. Lines drawings suffice as I will be lofting myself.

Can anyone help me in the way of suggestions or plans?
I will be prepared to compensate for a design.

    Thanks,

    Peter

I could create some shapes, following your directions exactly, check its properties by the naval architecture calculations as needed, and generate the final lines drawing up for you, from there, to work with him.
email me if you are interested.

I would be delighted if that were the case. Thanks, Peter
