Run great till Sunday and I was on the lake and run out of fuel. It is now full of fuel and will run only a minuet or two and then dies. I replaced the coil, spark plugs, and starter solenoid. I changed the fuel filter and you can see the fuel spraying in the carb. it also has a new holly 4 BL on it. but it will not stay running. PLEASE help.

You have done a lot of work before checking the obvious which is blocked jets. I think a carby clean will solve your problem.

Fuel pickup may be partially blocked also.

    Whitepointers' posts are spot on.

running out of fuel is a REALLY bad thing - there is all the debris, dirt, scale and water, not only from your tank but from the tanks at the marina you fill from. It usually sinks, collects and sits there harmlessly in the bottom inch of the tank BUT once you use that last bit of fuel its now all through the system and may well be causing several problems at once.

Start with the pickup and work along the fuel line/system making sure all is clean and flushed.

It doesn't matter how new the Carb is - you ran crappy fuel through it - there are multiple jets and some will be blocked. there may be other screens inside other components - also partially blocked. Be thorough - once you start you'll be amazed what can get through the various filters.

Guys the fuel problem was it. the new carb was painted and they got paint were the fuel line hooks to the carb. I pulled the screen out and there was paint in the screen. I pulled the bowl off the carb and checked there also and it was clean. it is back to running again thank you guys.
