    I've been looking forward to seeing how this attempt goes.There has to be a strong probability that the progress in foiling multihull design over the last few years will help them take the record.Which would be sad in a way ,because I think Francis Joyon is one of the most capable sailors in history,but then he will always have a place on the record holders lists and may still go on to claim a few more.I also think its good that Gitana is fully crewed since it would be a tragedy if they ran into one of the Vendee Globe boats heading home and a fully crewed boat should be maintaining a better lookout.I can only see two things to be apprehensive about-wind and UFO's.Lets hope they have enough of one and none of the other.

    Sad news yesterday with the brutal passing of Baron Benjamin de Rothchild, the founder (in 2001) and owner of Gitana team ("Gitana" being the name of the boats of his father Edmond de Rothchild himself a great skipper).
