    When I first started this project 6 months ago , I was going to build from wood fiberglass epoxy. After running some cost figures I found that steel was in the ballpark and cost effective , not so labor intensive.

    I did make some model trusses, I always do some modeling for certain projects. These are the wood ones that would have been mortis and tendon jointery.






    In reading some of the older post , AdHoc's brings up a valid point on weight. I'm going back to my drawing for the 3/16's figures and rework them and will post the findings of both 1/4 and 3/16's in weight of the hull & frames less deck.

    I also found this on the net and is an interest study for structure.
