Another foray into the folding trailerable trimaran field this one designed by Phil Roulin of Perspective design.

Hull (hulls?) #1 in full carbon construction close to splashing now.

There is also a little more information and a few more renders on designer Phil Roulin's Perspective design page:

Thanks , Corely. Great looking. Can't tell whether they plan on a daggerboard or not. Only one rendering seems to show it but the others don't and there doesn't appear to be an opening in the deck. Great to see them using ama foils! I wonder when we'll see a full size tri with UptiP foils?

There certainly seems to be no daggerboard in the main hull it looks like the float daggerboards will serve the dual purpose of lifting and leeway reduction. If I'm reading correctly it lists light ship as 600kg which is pretty good for a performance trimaran that offers some reasonable accommodation.

If you watch Phil Roulin's slideshow on the main page of his website it shows a render of a 19' trimaran (Exocet) with L type foils and T foil rudders. It looks interesting but only at a concept stage it appears.

    ===================
Corley, thats fantastic-the first tri design I've seen yet with slightly UptiP foils. I missed it first time around-thanks for pointing it out! I'm not sure they're really "uptip" though-looks more like a straight "L" to me. Maybe more like the Hydros main foil.
UPDATE: looks like they took this design and added new foils: http://www.perspective-design.com/EN_sport_trimaran_19_ft.html

It looks like in this design they have really focused on making the most of the foil assist the float is fine at the bow and full at the rear to prevent squat.

That is an unusually deep cockpit, no berth or stowage under that.

Agreed that there wont be much room underneath the cockpit sole but on the positive side the more squared off coachroof should allow decent space inside. A nice deep cockpit for daysailing is pleasant as it's where most people tend to congregate.

No , it isn't unusually deep.
The whole cockpit is in front of the beam. Those little benches you see behind the beam are stowingboxes .
The cockpit is a normal deep cockpit with benches. You don' t sit on deck like on many sportsboats.
The cockpitfloor is high enough for stowage underneath , a portapotti for example--- note the ladder from cockpit into cabin.
For having a normal deep benchcockpit and enough space for a berrth under it's floor, one must increase the freebord --on a26 footer it spoils the lines.

Standing headroom on a 26 footer , without spoiling the lines too much , is hard to reach.
A pleasing Solution, still without berth under the cockpit floor:

Thanks for the links pogo I find the positioning of the head near the cockpit on Gepard XL very sensible and the boat doesn't look like a block of flats despite the extra freeboard and cabin height.

Looks good but the middle picture looks pretty narrow. I looked up the specs and it got an 18' beam(69%)-there are cats wider than that. Didn't notice it at all until that picture. Does it seem narrow overall to you?

The beam is fairly narrow which should mean the main hull will fly pretty early. I'm interested to see how this approach works out and seeing a video of it sailing. There doesn't seem to be much dihedral either and the floats are mounted quite low.
