that will work fine, as far as being the fastest in a race against similar sized catamarans, I think not. You can get Tornado plans on line for free, you might find them and study them. Although a dated design, it is still a fast catamaran and still wins races in mixed classes. For a fast and proven design, you can copy the lines of the Tornado as a good place to start.

What kind of racing are you talking about? are there rules? More than half of the speed is design of rigging, sails, rudders and dagger boards, and crew skill of course.

The fastest sailboats these days ride above the water on foils, which takes much expertise to design and build correctly.

    Good luck.

    Hello Petros,

I still not go to race, but I need to just train. I want to participate in the Cape2Rio 2014 where I can use the official race catamaran from team.

I know that the lines not good, but can not find plans for a Tornado FRP. Can you tell me the links to those plans and lines that you mentioned?

    Thanks buddy,
    Valter.......... :)
