I am starting the building of a new PD Racer, no 3 in South Africa, and would like to use this forum to gather advie and exchange ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi Manie,

Yup, I have been bloody useless long enough now. Plus I have nothing to sail, as the little three-in-one is further from sailing than the pdr's parts lying on the floor. So I decided to start a dedicated thread for the kit pdr, let's see if we can get some people to participate.
I just finished fitting the starboard tank side panel, will bond it in tomorrow. Then glassing all the seams before closing up the tanks.

I'm thinking of doing some prep work before closing like putting in structural baffles.
Firstly to act as baffles if I make waterballast tanks from them. Secondly to beef up the structure should the urge ever arise to add foils.
I'm also thinking of making the "off-center"-board case long enough so the sailplan and appendages will balance when I sail the thing with the wrong end pointing forward.
Gut feel says it's going to be quicker that way....
