Does anyone know of any good links regarding old style sailing fishing boats? I'm from West mersea where they race a range similaer to the one pictured below. I just need a few parametrics to get me started.[IMG]

In different countries and parts of the world there will (of course) be different kinds of open-deck fishing sailboats. Are you looking for some particular type, specific to your local tradition?

This one is a bit oversize for your target, but may help you to calculate a trendline:

It is a very elegant and fast traditional boat, diffused at Adriatic sea (Italy and Croatia).
This particular design was made by a renown italian NA, late Carlo Sciarelli.

    Main data:
    LOA: 6.00 m
    Max. beam: 2.07 m
    Draft: 0.7 m
    Displacement: 1 tonn
    Ballast: 400 kg
    Total sail area: 26.50 mq
    Mainsail area 18.50 mq
    Jib area: 8.00 mq.
