Newbie Builder Could Use Advice

I have a sailboat in Boston Harbor and have been thinking it would be fun to build a folding or nesting dinghy to use as a tender. I have an inflatable now but its heavy and does not store well on deck.

Im looking at the Spndrift (http://www.bandbyachtdesigns.com/spin.htm). Mainly I want a tender to use while I'm cruising that I can store on deck for long sails. Mostly I'll be using an outboard and sometimes rowing so the sail performance isn't key although I may get a sail just for a little extra fun.

Any ideas on where I can do this and how I can get help?
- I live in the city so I can't really build the boat in my living room and my neighbors would be upset if I did it in our garage. Also, I know a bit about woodworking but I"ve never tried a project like this so I will need help. I'm hoping that there is someone out there that knows more than I do and wants to build a dinghy. We could build two at the same time and it will probably go faster.

If you do live in the Boston area (or someplace reasonably close) and you are interested but dont have a wood shop, there is a place we can rent space in Sommerville ma, but I would still like the partner.

Take a look at http://artisansasylum.com/ they have a full set up of woodworking and metal tools for about $75 a month.
