Marcus Bole has posted a new version of PolyCad (version 8) on his website. Not explored it fully yet, but at first glance it seems like it may well be superior to the other freebies out there like Freeship/Delftship etc...?

Marcus' proper job is as a developer of PARAMARINE, one of the most powerful professional naval architecture packages around (the choice of the UK MoD). I believe that the next version of PARAMARINE will include a fully developed hull modeller, so suspect Marcus is putting some of that to use in POLYCAD.

Gentalmen I am working on a sofware comparison between Tribon Lines and this new PolyCAD v8 for my company. Input from other users would be most welcome
