    Mas,

The miners are turning buyers as the traded price falls below the cost of production. The thing is that they can now close out hedging (forward sales) at a larger profit as paper cost is under production cost.... they are effectively mining the LBMA and Comex! Now while they may be putting 20% down on contracts at the end of the day they have to deliver real metal SO come the time they will ask for real metal... be it a forward or future... either way the position gets translated to a Comex hedge, long position in this case. We are talking tonnage as the price gets lower from here, this alone will provide a base and most probably a sling shot out of the lows. The short sellers have an objective and, I might say, what looks to be a very elegant plan/setup to cover into "sell in May" liquidation and some final USDX strength.... but the physical market is working out and spoiling for the fight. If there is the slightest miscalculation from the short side regarding the amount of liquidation they can generate into these lows they may have effectively built a giant market driven "potato gun".... we are building pressure.... this US summer could be a whole lot of fun for yours truly :D

    Stay nimble!

PS> Issue a "please explain" if needed... the Shiraz has been flowing freely :D

    Hi Moggy,
Good on-yer, Must have been good - but only Shiraz:?: Don't mention the "potato" thing else you may feel pain as collateral damage? I would normally be asleep but woke to what sounded like fireworks - nothing but a glowing half moon to be seen in the western sky...

http://www.bullionvault.com/gold-price-chart.do around Au$1364/oz (Au$43867/kg) - all this talk of cracking under 1200? I am waiting but not holding my breath as the Chinese and Indians will be buying up big - hopefully the metal and not paper or electronic...

1200 appears to be the objective, a number of things support that idea so we can expect another salvo of incoming paper.

Jim Sinclair - 50K Gold!!!!! - systemic failure in progress - US will be "Cyprussed".

To be frank it sounds nuts.

The last time I heard Jim amp up the volume like this (not these sorts of calls!) was just prior to 2008 and we came damn close having a systemic religious experience then. His track record is checkered when it comes to calls, but he is not that bad over all.

I'm really a little gobsmacked, Jim is a little eccentric but not totally nuts. 50K Gold means there is no system left, that is Mad Max crap, I mean.... WTF?

If what he says is true and it is underway now you will see a bank holiday in the US one weekend soon. That will be the first thing that people know about it, surprise is a must when these sorts of stunts are pulled.

    ???????????

Maybe they just altered his meds.

    I hope so.

If not could you get them to alter my meds! :D

Macroeconomics study is no longer fun - it is like watching pitch drip (Queensland University has had an experiment running for :?:more than 50 years:?: and as few as 5 drops so far.) - THAT IS SLOW... - ADD to the equation that most markets are manipulated, (unintended consequences and deliberate), so do not hold your breath waiting for true market sentiment or honest value... All I am waiting for is the punters to realise that the casino is rigged, and they will never win consistently, Yes they are mostly a really dumb lot addicted to gambling, - or - have an inside run...

So who is on a short winning streak, has insider run or plain lucky for the present, briefly playing the direction of the movements... Of the prognosticators who points to the needed changes turning points?

Bix Weir is away with a countdown - at 21 days at present (free or paying email service only)...
