looking to start a new build

    looking at flat jon style using gorilla glue for the joints watched a youtube vid on one and the didnt glass the outside just prime and painted it and was wondering what type of prime and paint u guys recommend will find link to vid and post it

    For this boat, just use the same paint system you would use for doing the exterior of a house. An exterior grade sealer, and exterior grade, 'oil' gloss enamal.

    If you want to go for a longer life, use a bit of epoxy and fibreglass tape along and around all the outside joints before you put on the rubbing strips, on the bottom.

    It will seal the raw plywood edge a lot better than just the paint, and keep the water out a lot longer.
