    Corley epoxy coated

That's really nice, love the clear coated diagonal planking. I thought about it on my boat but decided the upkeep wasn't something that I'd enjoy :).

    Island Girl Photos

My father sent these great pictures from the first few years of sailing. Notice the photo with the trailer half extended showing how the cross members are pivoted to allow trailering. (Main hull rises while outriggers fold down. Please let me know if you are interested in making an offer for this great trimaran.

Also - it's entirely possible that my father still has his full set of plans including sail patterns, he's checking...

    Trip report here.
I went to see Bob, Chris's father, and the Kraken
Very impressive boat especially for 38 years old.
Lots of thoughtful details to make the boat a trailer sailor.
The trailer, lifting cradle, strut bracing for the amas is well thought and looks like it will last another bunch of years.
The akas are gorgeous being more curved than the original design. The pivoting akas look to be well sized and properly setup to sail flex free.
    No major damage repairs.
Bob said the entire hull is mahogany, with the "veneers" cut on his radial arm saw at the time.
The mast is a straight stick, non rotating, with a well thought out and constructed cradle arrangement on the trailer.
The sails and boom were in a bag, inside a sail tube. Didn't see them unfolded.
Stored inside with no direct sunlight hitting the boat.

I'm very impressed and believe you could trailer sail the boat reasonably with a little practice.

BTW, the trailer tongue has an extension internally of about 10 - 12 feet. There is a powered winch to raise and lower the boat.

It is probably too big for myself and the area I have to store it. Although Bob said he mostly sailed single handed.
I saw videos showing tacking and tacking with main only. Everything seemed to work with no issues and no drama. And no backwinding of the sails to tack.

I hope someone who appreciates the boat and will take care of it gets it.

    Oldsailor,

Why would you care? You already sell "plans".

He did say he found a set of plans for the Crowther C-class cat. Helios I think?

Because if he is prepared to go to the trouble to publish the plans I wouldn't interfere.
I charge $50.00 for a set of the plans, with follow up consultation.
If he can make them available for free I think it would be great. :D

Refer to my post #10 on this thread.
