    Hi all,

I Would like to know the intact stability Criteria for a floating crane / Barge Crane. Or is there any available Criteria in Maxsurf that supports this kind of matter? Thanks in advance.

The statutory requirements for the vessel you are designing/building will be noted in the vessels specification.

    Hi Ad hoc,

I'm trying to check a barge with a mounted crane on it. Is there anyway on how to do this in maxsurf? Can you please give me a hint/clue? And why won't this criteria show its result? I'm trying to check it but it won't stay as checked? After i calculate it unchecks the box?

Ahh, I see. Your question is not about stability, but more about how to use a software program called maxsurf.

You'll need to ask someone who uses maxsurf, failing that, read the manual is always a good starter!

i have used maxsurf but it has been a year... is there any criteria on barge/floating crane when lifting?

Actually my question is about what are the criteria for barge crane wen lifting.
Does the maxsurf have the criteria for this?

Perhaps the figure below may be of help. And, of course, check out the Hydromax manual.
You can add this criterion to the other criteria to be met by ship.

    Hi Tansl,

I have done that many times. But it won't show its results. It kept on unchecking itself once when i try to simulate it. No results at all. not even showing at the criteria window...

Sorry, I can not know what happens to you but the answer can only be found in the Manual and in the correct application of what it says. Check your inputs to make sure everything is correct, you are not missing any data, and you act according to how Hydromax expected to act.
I can not tell you anything more. Good luck.
