Dieter Loibner has an article in the April/May issue of Professional BoatBuilder magazine (proboat.com) about Piotr Zin, founder of nascent Zin Boats of Seattle, and the ZR2, a new 20‘ (6.1m) carbon runabout with a 360V Torqeedo Deep Blue 50i 1800 propulsion system.

"...the ZR2 is for an affluent clientele who covet a sleek, light, fast, quiet, and zero-emission 20 boat.... On his website, Zin lists potentials of 45 mph top speed and 100+ statute miles maximum range. In early tests on Seattle’s Lake Union, he said, 'the prototype reached 40 mph with ease. The production boat will max [out] at 30 mph, [emphasizing] efficiency and range.' "
