Bowsprit on a Snark Mayflower

    So, it has begun

    After making a few minor changes to the original design, I started building with 6mm okume. Here are some pics:

    Building the bowsprit glove out of two pieces of 45mm alu tube, and stitching the panels...

    I am hoping for a test sail on Friday. Just the basic rig. I am wondering about the spinnaker. I am set on building it myself. I am pretty confident about sawing it, just not so sure about the actual design. Any help is welcome...:confused:

    More progress over this week... Almost there. The Friday test wetting never happened. It will happen during this next week though.:)
    Any help on the spinnaker design?

    It floats!!!

    Well, it has been finished for a couple of weeks now. It even got wet. Even the spinnaker is sewn. I think it is more like a genakker... I can't really tell... Here are some pics. I will be testing the sail in the next 2-3 weeks. Then I will also have some pics (I hope)...:D

    Nice work!
    Could you share any info on how you did the initial repair before you completly build the boat again?

    I have a Wildflower too with lots of cracks in the outer shell and was thinking to converting it from plastic to fiberglass.
    Also located in Greece like you!
