    Hi everyone,

I'm currently enrolled in an Undergraduate course of Industrial design in Italy, I would like to do a Master course in Yacht design, I have been searching the internet but it seems that most of the courses require a BA Engineering.
Can someone help me and refer me to any Universities/Institutes/School that offer MA that would accept a BA Industrial design graduate? (worldwide)

The only one I could find was University of Genoa in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano. Does anyone have any experience with this course or any other information that could give me?

Also, do you think that maybe instead of going straight into a Master course, it would be better to try to do an internship in a boat/yacht design company? Would that make it up for the BA in Ind.Design or it wouldn't change much when it comes to applying for a Uni?

    Thank you in advance.

University of Coventry has students in the Transport Design program who do yacht projects. It is design as in asthetics, not engineering.

The reason you are finding that yacht design master degrees want an undergrad in engineering is because they are engineering programs. So you'd be doing postgrad level engineering work which would probably be things like fluid dynamics.

The University of Southampton in the UK says that they MAY consider applicants with undergraduate degrees in Architecture, so you could contact them to see if they would accept you. They might want a few prerequisite courses.

There are other yacht design programs that are focused on the aesthetic side. Many transport design programs will allow students to do yacht projects. Here are some specifically to do with yachts. I have no knowledge of these programs and have never met a graduate. It's just what google found.
