Anybody know anything about this boat?

Bought a boat. Told it was a northwest 21.
Doesn't look like anything I can find online.

Oh yeah, has a sticker that says it was built by C K Wright, Vancouver, BC.
Can't seem to find anything on them either

I was on sailboat data but the photo and blueprint are not the same to what I have.

 

I think they bought a mold, made a new liner and deck cap and tried to market it. It was a bit ungainly with a hugely reshaped sheer and deck, the raised deck version looks a bit better, though this is the only one I've seen and not an easy thing to visualize.

 

I thought the picture of this boat might have been taken in Australia.

 

I can confirm it looks inverted here too.

Did you end up finding any info on this boat? I just bought the same one as a project and can't find anything in it. I haven't even got it home yet because I am working on fixing up a trailer for it.

 

Yes, sure looks likes a NW 21 built by CK Wright Marine around mid 70's
Design was by John Brandlmayr Ltd. Vancouver, BC. I was employed by them at the time and did a lot of the work. I ended up buying a hull/deck kit which I completed with a couple of my own ' upgrades' which paid off.
Boat was a real performer . The only ones in it's size range that we could not beat was the San Juan 24 (Bruce Kirby). One time in some good winds we did 12 n.miles in 1hr-55 m.

Also, seeing he's in British Columbia (I assume that's what BC indicates) I could see one of our Aussie friends turning the old joke on his head and thanking him for posting it right side up.

Now, that aside the raised deck part of the hull is tumblehome? That's an interesting feature. But as low as it seems to be can there really be any improvement in windage?
