After having owned and adored racing Fantome for 33 years, it is now time to move on to other things. Fantome is a wonderful bullet proof boat which I have completely and lovingly restored myself. She is not a lame showpiece but a heavily sailed racing machine - in top notch condition - that sails in a highly competitive fleet of six R Boats (with 2 more to join in shortly) on Lake Ontario. Most notably she has a brand new aluminum spar (klacko), new kevlar/carbon/mylar mainsail and 155% genoa, kevlar #3 sail, new spinnaker (all UK sails), three speed #44 stainless primary winches, top notch clutches, rod rigging, a specially engineered collapsible cradle that allows full access to the hull, a collapsible winter shed with an integrated staircase, heater, 2 HP torqueedo electric motor (strap on) and more. She was surveyed in 2013.
Have a look at my gallery below, or check out www.fantomer18.com and http://lakeontariorclass.com/ for more info about the boat and fleet.

Wish I could post an offer but unable at present. What I would like to say is how wonderful it is to see Fantome once again. She is still a fine looking vessel. As a young boy I raced on my fathers R boat, Alert IV, out of Belmont Harbor Chicago, Il. competing with the Fantome. Currently looking to obtain plans for the Alert IV in order to build again. We lost Alert IV in 77' on the break wall at New Buffalo, Mi. during a horrific storm. Best of luck in your sale and thank you for your posting. Sincerely, William VerValin.
